Knaphill Residents Association – village meeting and AGM – Wednesday 31st April

by admin on 4 April, 2010

The KRA village meeting was as usual extremely well organised with a wide variety of stalls providing information to local residents. I was particularly impressed with the police stall as the information on Neighbourhood Watch was very good as well as the stall on Sure Start at St John’s primary, a topic I have a further interest in as a governor at St John’s primary school.  Bar far the most popular stall was the Woking Borough Council consultation on the local development framework.  Congratulations to the KRA team for an excellent event.

The AGM that followed had a clear message, that the KRA cares about Knaphill as a village and that the Knaphill Summer Show on Saturday 17th July, is a key element of creating a strong village community.  Having grown up in Claygate, a village in the north of Surrey, I think this is a wonderful aim and with the KRA all the best in this endeavour.
