Former Liberal Democrat Councillor for Knaphill Learn more

On walking over the bridge that runs between Lockfield Drive and the Brewery Road car park recently, I noticed that one of the planks of wood forming the platform of the bridge looked as if it was soon to have quite a significant sized hole in it, if a small piece of wood was to break off. A hole that could easily catch a walking stick or a high heel. Cllr Ann-Marie Barker recently asked a question about the maintenance and replacement of the bridge at a council meeting in July and I passed this information to her and the Leader of the Council. It is my understanding that this will be looked into and rectified shortly, with the surface of the bridge due to be considered for replacement in 2011-2012.
