As part of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee’s work on town centre car park parking charges, I visited the blue car park in the Peacocks Centre Sunday afternoon (8^th August 2010) to ask visitors to the car park to complete a survey on car park charges.  There were many interesting answers, some of which I had not expected.  I will not go into the results in this post and will post these at a later stage. 

The survey that I used is available through the link Car parking survey 2010.  It is only about town centre council operated car parks and does not include car parks in the villages or on street parking, but I have made it available here for people who may wish to look at it and email me the answers they would have given, had I seen them today.  I will then record these answers as an additional set of results.

I have also included a photo of the parking charges in Woking at present for people who are not aware of these.

Possible recommendations on parking charges will be discussed at the next meeting of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee on Monday 20^th September at 7pm in the main chamber of Woking Borough Council.
